A Word From Otim Thomas

I would like to inform you about my experience in the Club and to bring to your notice what good and incredible things I as a member of the club have had the ability to gain .

What I have gained from the club :

I as an individual have acquired skills in computing and most especially in programmes that concern data processing that is Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint. In these sectors I have been able to do the following; viz.:

Microsoft PowerPoint:

I have been able to make slides which are quite sensible and colourful.

I have also been able to animate my presentations with the assistance of

the other club members.

Microsoft Word :

Word is the most commonly used data processing programme. Well, under Word, I have been able to process data, format it, insert pictures, graphs, tables and much more making it very tasty to the viewer.

The club has inspired me by teaching us how to work on the network that is our local network where one is capable of getting information from

another computer through the hubs that connect the computers on our

local network.

I have also obtained the vital and basic knowledge about computing like working on DOS (DISK OPERATING SYSTEM) which is where most of these modern programmes that you see today originated from. I have also been able to create a new folder, create a shortcut and place it on the desktop from which ever part of the Windows 95 system .

What I am yet to gain from the club :

With the current installations of Internet facility, we as a club will be exposed to the Internet and learn more important things about this fast

growing world. I think that this will have a great impact upon our careers as Club members as far as computing is concerned .

As a member of the club I have jointly worked with the other Club members in preparing this web page. So do not hesitate to drop in and please feel at home when you do so.
